Nothe Fort Weddings in Weymouth

Claret Catering are the approved caterers for Nothe Fort Weddings on the Parade Ground in Weymouth.

If you are looking for a totally unique, completely memorable wedding venue right by the sea, then look no further!  A Nothe Fort Wedding is a special occasion with the unique setting of this Victorian Fort adding something special to the most important day of your life.

Nothe Fort, now licensed, celebrated its first Civil Ceremony in June 2016 on the terrace overlooking Weymouth Bay.

The Victorian Fort is situated at the entrance to Weymouth Harbour and is a unique setting with stunning views of Weymouth Bay and the Jurassic Coast. This impressive historic monument can add more than a little extra to your special day.

We can cater for weddings up to 200 in a marquee erected on the Parade Ground.

From a simple to the most elaborate wedding reception we invite you to discuss your requirements with us. We would be only too happy for one of our Nothe Fort Weddings Team to show you the Fort and take in the magnificent setting of the Jurassic coast.

The Nothe Fort Artillery Volunteers can be hired to attend your wedding and will design their firing drill based on your requirements. In their authentic period uniforms, they will create an impact with their large cannon and entertain your guests with lots of loud bangs and smoke.

They even offer a ghost tour for those who have the nerve to visit the narrow tunnels located in the bowls of the Fort and listen to the eerie stories synonymous with this haunted historic building as you are guided around.

Situated at the entrance to Weymouth Harbour on the end of the Nothe Peninsula, the Fort enjoys views from Weymouth Bay round into Portland Harbour. The parade ground is sheltered offering a large flat area for the erection of a marquee and guests are welcome up on the Ramparts to enjoy the view of the stunning Dorset Coast line.
