Better than Harvey Nics!

Please allow imagesNewly weds Ami and Harry Meech were absolutely delighted when Claret catering delivered  ‘food to die for’ at their recent wedding held at Knighton House in Durweston near Blandford Forum.  Claret catered for 65 guests in the day and 100 in the evening with a splendid 3 course meal, based on a menu the couple had enjoyed at Harvey Nichols in London.  When searching for a caterer the couple found that they were confronted with a range of set menus and no one was interested in going that extra mile to give them what they wanted and what was so special to them.

That was until they contacted Dawn, who loves nothing more that going that extra step further to make sure they have the day of their dreams, at least when it comes to the catering. This event was twelve months in the planning and was very warmly received by family and friends at the wedding who commented what a great day it had been.

It is true what they sat, if you choose the best people and their company you get the best results. You didn’t just do the catering you helped run the day for us too. even helping with my dress which was above and beyond the role of a caterer”

Fueling the Crew at the Poole Harbour Boat Show & Maritime Festival

Our third year at this event and we were thrilled to be asked once again by Poole Harbour Commissioners Events Organiser, Dave Laut to provide the catering for a whole host of support staff who have all helped to make this event such a fantastic success.Poole Quay

Claret Catering were asked to provide good quality lunches on all 3 days to feed the events teams such as the drivers of the bus from the port to Ballast Quay, the ferry crews, security personnel as well as the Poole Coastguard Search and Rescue Team, Royal Marines, Royal Navy, Police, Border Force, Coastal Fisheries Protection Team and Ambulance crews.

The 300 lunches were made fresh every day and our priority was to meet the lunch time deadline set by Dave Laut.

The weekend as warm and sunny, (when it didn’t rain!). Dave gave us some great feedback  “a big well done and thanks goes to Claret Catering, who for the 3rd year in a row have provided us with excellent food, delivered on time and to my specification.   The lunches have had praise from everyone and were very well received.   The team at Claret Catering always meet my expectations and that’s why we continue to employ them for this event each year.”

Smiles all Around for Newly Weds Mr & Mrs Williams!

Claret Catering were delighted to provide the welcome drinks reception and wedding catering for Darren Williams and his new bride Catherine at Sopley Mill, on April 17th. 

It was a beautiful warm and dry day with hazy sunshine, perfect for a Spring Barbecue for 75 guests. 12 months of planning led to a brilliant day and we rounded off the evening with bacon baps. A firm family favourite!

At the end of their special day the couple said “We wanted to say a huge thank you to Dawn and her team.  Everyone has been raving about the food – both how  good it tasted and how much there was!   You have all been so kind and lovely and made the whole day so smooth and easy for us.  We are so glad that we found you and had you for our wedding”.

We really enjoyed the day too, thanks for such lovely feedback.

Canapes & Champagne Reception at Portland Port

April 2017 was a key date in the diary for Portland Port, this marked the opening of a brand new berth at the Port. The day was packed with local dignitaries including the Chairman of the Port, Mayor & Mayoress of Weymouth and Richard Drax MP.  Claret Catering were asked to provide a Champagne and Canape reception for 60 guests and on this warm and sunny April day, the event went like a dream and we had some fantastic feedback.

Chairman, John Langham commented “this is a very successful event which has gone very well.  We are extremely pleased with the food and excellent service provided by Claret Catering and we will most certainly be using you again for our upcoming future events”
